We require consent from both parents or legal guardians before beginning therapy with a child, even if one parent has independent rights to make treatment decisions. This helps to:
- Minimize conflict between parents and protect the child’s therapeutic process
- Ensure both parents are informed and engaged in supporting the child’s healing
- Provide consistency and stability for the child, which improves outcomes
Families with a court order will be asked to provide documentation for our records.
We provide therapy for children (ages 4+), older teens (17+), and adults. Services are tailored to each client’s developmental stage and needs.
Sessions typically range 45–55 minutes unless otherwise noted. Extended sessions are available when appropriate.
Yes. Telehealth counseling is available for older teens, adults, and parents anywhere in Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.
Standard sessions are $125 for 50–60 minutes. Short sessions are $75, extended are $185, and couples/family sessions range $150–$200.

Therapy is always evidenced-based (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, play therapy). For clients who request it, Christian faith perspectives can be integrated in a respectful, collaborative way. If not requested, care remains fully science-backed.
“Evidenced-Based” means our methods are supported by research and clinical evidence. Approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and play therapy have been shown to help with anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation.
We believe faith and science can work together. Our foundation is always evidenced-based care. For clients who desire it, faith can be woven into sessions to support hope, resilience, and meaning. For others, therapy remains fully evidenced-based.
Many parents wonder this, especially if there are no extreme behaviors. Children and teens often struggle with emotional pain, comparison, low self-esteem, anxiety, grief, or family changes. Therapy offers a safe place to:
- Express feelings when words are hard
- Build coping and problem-solving skills
- Strengthen family communication
- Heal from challenges before they grow
Counseling isn’t about labeling your child—it’s about helping them heal, grow, and thrive.
The first session focuses on information-gathering and goal-setting.
- For child clients, we also meet with parents/guardians to understand family dynamics and history.
- The first few sessions may continue this process before moving into deeper therapeutic work.
- Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that fits your situation.
